Just a little bit about me.
I was born in Seoul, Korea and moved to sunny California at a young age. Growing up, I found myself always wanting to be outside, mostly for soccer - but also running around the neighborhood catching lizards, picking fruit over neighbors' fences, and running to the park to catch crayfish in the creek. My first memory of camping was exploring the wonders of Yosemite National Park - remembering just how small I felt as a child in a vast stretch of forest and mountains. To be honest, I was terrified - I cried the entire way up Half Dome (being 8 years old and afraid of heights was rough...).
Fast forward - for the last 7 years, I found myself in San Diego. I discovered my love for photography in the last year at UC San Diego during my M.Ed program and now live the best life possible.
During the week, I teach science at a 6-12 low-income charter school, which truly has been my calling - but on the weekends (and of course breaks), I find myself exploring the outdoors and wanting to capture every moment possible. I strive to find those who love their work as I do, where photos truly show the passion in every ounce of their being. I am inspired by those around me and hope to inspire those around me to find their passions.
As much as I love photography, I have found that my true love is people. Meeting people, hearing their stories, and capturing them in the moment through the eyes of a lens has been something I continually fall in love with.
Here's to many more friendships made, and moments captured. Cheers!
